About Mindful Veterinary Care

Mindful Veterinary Care is a Lake Worth, Florida based general small animal, integrative veterinary practice founded in 2023 by Dr. Jonathan S. Block, CVA CCRT. We differentiate ourselves by offering advanced, comprehensive medicine and surgery services, complemented with integrative methods such as acupuncture, nutritional supplements, hydrotherapy, comprehensive rehabilitation, and pain management.

Our Approach

Under the direction of Dr. Jonathan S. Block, DVM CVA CCRT, Mindful Veterinary Care takes a personalized approach to pet care through custom wellness and treatment plans specifically tailored for animals at every life stage. We are passionate about building long-lasting relationships with our patients and clients in an effort to deliver the highest quality medical and customer care. We work hard to create a space where your four-legged friend can feel safe and we can practice mindfulness in all aspects of veterinary care.

Our Philosophy

We strongly feel that through infusing “mindfulness” into every aspect of our practice, we are able to foster a low-stress, welcoming and healing environment for clients and patients where we can deliver the highest quality care.

Our Mission

At Mindful Veterinary Care, our goal is to approach veterinary care in a more thoughtful, judgment-free, comfortable way where healing through a more nurturing environment is encouraged. Our team practices unconditional kindness and compassion made possible by bringing the best versions of ourselves to work each and every day. We emphasize that medicine is not a “one-size-fits-all” practice and each patient and every person has a unique set of circumstances and perspectives. Our philosophy is to tailor every wellness and treatment plan to each patient’s independent needs by utilizing advanced medicine, surgery and integrative therapies. We always aim to do what’s best for you AND your beloved pet!

Workplace Wellness

Mindfulness is the mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings and thoughts. At Mindful Veterinary Care we implement the idea of being more mindful and thoughtful in the workplace to radiate a positive, friendly workplace. We seek to bring the best versions of ourselves to work every day so that we are able to provide the best quality of care to our patients and clients.

The Highest Standard of Business Practices, Social and Environmental Transparency and Accountability: Certified B-Corporation

Mindful Veterinary Care will work to become a certified B Corporation in our first year. Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and accountability to balance profit and purpose.

The Highest Standard of Medical Care: AAHA Accredited

Mindful Veterinary Care will become an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) within its first year. AAHA is the only organization to accredit companion animal veterinary hospitals. To become and maintain accreditation, our hospital will undergo regular, comprehensive onsite evaluations and be measured on more than 900 standards of veterinary care.

Fostering a Positive Veterinary Experience: Low Stress

Mindful Veterinary Care will become a Low Stress Certified practice. This is a set of training initiatives that will help us provide a low stress, positive experience for our patients and clients. We understand that visiting the vet is not always the most enjoyable experience. We are committed to doing whatever it takes to minimize the stress associated with going to the vet.
